After a family sendoff party last night and this morning, we biked to Winslow Park for our departure.
Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Ken were also in Freeport and came by to bid us farewell and good luck.
The mustache had to go so that Chris could be more aerodynamic.

The evening before the race, Casey, Julie and I met up with Rachel, Dearon and Sam for dinner at Sunset Grille & Tap in Allston. Afterwards we put Casey to bed, but the rest of us gathered our bikes and headed to Hopkinton for the midnight marathon ride. We lucked out with the weather for the bike ride, and there was a great turn-out once again. Unfortunately we missed the memo and started riding around 12:30am which was still before the peloton came through, but everyone had a great time regardless!
