On Saturday, Granny took me to Singh Farms in Tempe. It has a farmer’s market vibe, with fresh farm food for sale in baskets inside. There is also a cafe and plenty of outdoor seating in the sunshine. Oh, and look what I’m bringing home with me!
Granny is one hip gal! She has many friends, she uses Uber, and she always has an activity planned! We have gone to the driving range almost every day with her goal of making me a golfer, and I have now played a round of golf (well, almost)!
In case you haven’t heard, we are planning another long bike tour next summer. This time it will be different, though, because the majority of it will be on trails and dirt roads. To handle the different terrain, we will use different gear – this style of bike touring is referred to as bikepacking. Due to weddings and other craziness this spring and summer, though, we haven’t had a chance for any practice (“shakeout”) tours until now.
This past Summer (August 2017), we took time off for a trip to Big Sky country. I’ve spent plenty of time there, but mostly in the winter, and Rachel of course has spent a sizeable portion of her life there. We also had some of my family join us, though. My brother, Casey, had come to ski in Montana and Wyoming one winter a few years back, but my sister, Charity, and sister-in-law (Casey’s wife), Julie, had never been. So, we did our best to show them a good time!
My time here so far has been great fun! I’ve gotten lots of time with family and friends. I went on a few bike rides, including biking with my dad to work.
