Vineyards on Vineyards on Lake Erie (17)

Today we planned to meet Rachel’s friend Jenn for lunch.  She is interning for GE in Erie, PA as an industrial engineer.  Just thinking about lunch made us hungry though, so we stopped at a small restaurant in Barcelona, NY for brunch.

In Erie we picked up our next mapped route, the Underground Railroad: Pittsburgh spur, also by Adventure Cycling.

We met up during Jenn’s lunch break and stuffed ourselves for the 2nd time that day, this time at the Imperial Palace, a Chinese buffet.  Afterwards, we spent a while bumming WiFi from Imperial Palace, which helped us catch up on the blog and let our stomachs digest.

After spending twelve days in NY, we were finally saying goodbye! Out of those twelve days we had two rest days and six nights with friends and family, though, which is pretty fantastic 🙂 Now we move into more unfamiliar territory, and we are very excited.

This funny statue greeted us after lunch.

The day ended at Folly’s End Campground.  With such great weather, we were hoping to ride, but tomorrow is another day!
