Banana Bread


  • 1 ¾ cup flour 
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup oil
  • ⅓ cup sourmilk (add a tsp of vinegar to regular milk and stir; let it sit for a couple of minutes)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 2 ripe bananas mushed up

  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl. 
  3. Mix in the wet ingredients.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top,
  5. Spray pan and pour in the batter.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

Optional: put walnuts in it

  1. hahah I put gummy bears in cookies with Stevie once, and they all just melted and disappeared and left holes! Actually, it wasn’t really ‘cookies’ plural; we just dumped the batter into a cake pan for fun to see what would happen and if it would still be good…like one big giant cookie. Now that I think about it, it may have been swedish fish, not gummy bears…. or maybe it was both.
