My time here so far has been great fun! I’ve gotten lots of time with family and friends. I went on a few bike rides, including biking with my dad to work.

Some days going for a bike ride can feel like a chore and I find myself looking forward to the finish, especially if I’m trying to keep a certain pace or just get a good workout. And then there are the days when you’re just cruising along, thinking that you would keep going forever if you had the time. Today was one of those days…

Girls’ Weekend: Austin
Dear Hubby,
While I missed you this weekend, I truly enjoyed my weekend with the chickadees down in beautiful Austin, Texas.
Second race, 2nd place!
We arrived early at the track for our races; mine was first at 9am and Rachel’s was second-to-last at 1:30pm. It was chilly to start, but the sky was clear so we were thankful for a nicer day than last week at Fruitland’s. After dressing up and registering, we got on the track to warm up but less than half way through the first practice lap, Rachel got a flat tire and became a bit frazzled. It wasn’t the best start to the day, but it was all uphill from there.
