oOo check out that rack! πŸ™‚

It only took the AJ stamp of approval before I could get your stamp of approval on this purchase! I’m still a little bummed that they sent me the grey/orange one instead of the black/chrome color that I wanted, but I’ll get over it, since you think that the one they sent me is the “right” color.

It was fun going to Grace Chapel with you on Sunday morning, and then getting lunch at 1806 Avenue Deli in downtown Lexington with you after.

I very much enjoyed the bike ride through forest and farm and giant-house neighborhood. It gets another point for having very little traffic. Maybe next time we do it, I will be a little bit faster. I was definitely losing energy by the end. Besides the scenery, my favorite part was the snaking downhill; it was fun going around all of those turns.

Thanks for getting me a pie pan to bake the chicken pot pie in. I’m glad that your shoelace and coat hanger jerry-rigging successfully held your muffler up until you could get home and “properly” fix it with clamps and what-not. I’m excited to see what new/ gently used car you end up buying!

And here’s to seeing good ‘ol Union pals on Saturday night!

Ranger Cookies

photo 1(3)Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 3 cups corn flakes

Instructions:

  1. Mix together the wet ingredients, and then add the dry ones. You may need to add a little less oatmeal and flour, because it can get thick and hard to stir.
  2. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
  3. Don’t eat all the dough!!!

Snowy V-Day Weekend

Best Valentine’s Day yet. πŸ™‚ I’m so glad we took Friday off to play in the snow in Jonny’s hometown backyard. Thanks for driving all of the way there and back! You had record gas mileage for my car, over 31!

The drive certainly wasn’t easy:20140220-092304.jpg

But it was totally worth it.

Especially that tree run where I didn’t see the drop in the trail; when I crashed off of it, you were right on my tail and almost landed on top of me. The other highlight may have been when both of my skis popped off after a flat landing down a steep drop I followed you down.

Although I got super stressed about finding a hotel room, it all worked out in the end, and I really liked our room at the Comfort Inn in Montpelier. I also enjoyed our takeout Applebee’s dinner, eaten with the table positioned directly in front of the TV so that we could watch the Olympics. Thanks for my chocolates and card, Topher.

I thought that we made pretty good time getting to Sugarbush the next morning. You were so nice to go on all of the tree runs with me, even after smashing your knee and shin and encountering other unexpected obstacles.

Then we had a nice family dinner on Sunday, much healthier than our Chinese food on the way back to my apartment on Saturday. You look so happy to be eating those beets!

Ski Surprise

We definitely surprised Max and Liz this weekend! They looked so confused when we hollered from the chairlift at Killington.

It was nice that Liz’s family let us stay over at their house.

I also enjoyed our snowshoeing adventure on Sunday in the woods by your house.
