This morning we treated ourselves to coffee and breakfast at Cutthroat Cafe for coffee and breakfast 🙂

Looking down upon the MHC (57)
After a great breakfast of sausage, pancakes with homemade strawberry jelly, cantelope, and leftover oatmeal chocolate chip cake, we said our goodbyes. A big thanks to the Hegarty’s and Izzy for giving us places to stay; we can’t wait to come back!
Several busy bike paths took us out into the foothills beyond the mile high city (“MHC”).  En route we met Joel and Wendy. They are sponsored by Jelly Belly for an upcoming 3-day charity ride for the local children’s hospital, the Courage Classic, so they donated some sport beans to us :-). Thank you both so much; we really appreciated it! And good luck with the ride; it sounds like it will be a lot of fun.
Head for the Hills (52)
Per usual, we woke early and broke down camp quickly but this time so that we wouldn’t get sprayed by the sprinklers in the park (we were told they go off around 6 or 7am). After moving to a safe spot, we had bagels and fruit for breakfast. It was another cold morning (hopefully we didn’t send too many warm clothes back too early!), but there was no rain in the forecast and the wind was in our favor.
Kicking Asphalt (51)
Last night we returned to Casey’s for dinner, but also picked up donuts, yogurt, and coffee to have for breakfast in our motel room before getting another start to the day.
Happy 4th of July! (49)
A tailwind carried us into Rush Center this morning, and we played “I’m going on a picnic and bringing…”, as well as more 20 Questions.
