As we left Barstow this morning, Rachel was having bad flashbacks to Kentucky. All of the dogs we passed were harassing her, but, luckily, there was only one on the loose, and it was deterred by our bright, flashing lights.

  

Otherwise, the day’s ride was uneventful.  We made it to a convenience store in Boron (home of the largest borax mine in the world!) shortly after the sun came up, where we had energy drinks and some snacks.

  
  
When we arrived in Mojave, we stopped at what we thought was our motel, but it turned out there were two Motel 6’s in town.  Of course, ours was the other one, but it was only a mile further down the road. At that point in the day, though, it felt like much further.

We cleaned up, got food at the grocery store, and relaxed.  Tomorrow is our last night ride!
