The evening before the race, Casey, Julie and I met up with Rachel, Dearon and Sam for dinner at Sunset Grille & Tap in Allston.  Afterwards we put Casey to bed, but the rest of us gathered our bikes and headed to Hopkinton for the midnight marathon ride.  We lucked out with the weather for the bike ride, and there was a great turn-out once again.  Unfortunately we missed the memo and started riding around 12:30am which was still before the peloton came through, but everyone had a great time regardless!

After a short night’s sleep, we watched the race at Cleveland Circle in the cold and wet weather (luckily not wet until about noon).  Once Casey passed, we got on the T to meet him at the finish.

There were plenty of shivering runners to be seen walking towards the commons after the finish line.  Once Casey changed into some slightly warmer clothes, we met up and quickly made our way back to the T to get out of the weather.

We capped off the weekend with some good food at Regina’s Pizzeria (also in Allston) and then hit the road to be back for work the following day.  Looking forward to doing it again next year!
